So it has been pointed out to me that my cinch is WAY too far back (and I completely agree, yikes I need to fix that). I also need to make the saddle a little smaller next time. If you guys ever have input on how I can make my stuff better please do share, as I've mentioned before I don't ride/don't have real tack to reference so I would love any feedback from you guys who know your stuff ;D ;D ;D
Anywho here is my jumping set for my Ballou I am trying to figure out how to make him clear the jump, his factory stand makes him too low and so I need to come up with a different solution. Sorry for all the leather tack spam on here lately haha, I am more happy with this one than my Totilas one, I made a little bit of improvement I think. The thinner leather is way easier to work with so I recommend that if anyone is considering making tack. I am happy with my hand made bit. I don't buy the pre-made stuff because I don't see myself being prolific enough to merit paying so much per piece and risk having unused ones, so I had to make it with a jump ring, clamp and piece of wire.
My next project is already in progress, a jumping set for my Mon Gamin Breyer horse I'm currently working on the figure 8 bridle.
After that IDK what to work on. I want to give Western a try again (only did one very simple set) but I don't have leather tooling tools so western remains a bit harder to make look authentic for me. Plus I don't know how to make those saddle blankets.
