So I know this stuff isn't too exciting for most members, as you all are seasoned collectors haha... I just felt like making it because I am so happy to have found sellers that will even send to the US, and because hunting some of these down was pretty tricky. Taming the manes and tails on some of these was tough too since they were tangled and frizzy. I'll be updating this thread as more stuff arrives (which should be soon), and if I buy more in the future I'll stick it here to keep it neatly in one area. I'll take much nicer photos after everything I am buying/have bought in the near future arrives, as I want to re-arrange my collection when that happens so that they are in numerical order with the name tags I make for them. I'll post that in a different thread under collections I think since it will showcase my entire herd. I adore this set! I got it from a very nice girl on eBay who collected when she was younger. It is in perfect shape and doesn't seem to be missing anything. Shipping was quite a bit because it was so big, but the set itself was a great price and a lovely addition to my collection. Worth every penny. Having the original box is pretty neat too I promised to send her pictures after my collection is all set up, can't wait! They are in such amazing condition for how old this series is...I didn't know it was possible to keep the hair & mane & tail so perfect. Their previous owner definitely gave them lots of TLC! Gem & Lucia & Jet are thanks to Whisper's excellent eBay skills, big thanks to her! I will soon have three Jets... Some of my favorite MBHs ! ILPs and the MBH set box. ILPs...I will have to find a better place for them after everything is settled.

Really nice! I hope I can take tonight the time to sort everything horses and stuff and take pictures. Everyday I try but just so busy when I am home. At work plenty of them but when I am at home nothing haha! I will do my best for tonight and post pictures. Really cool photos! I think you bought the last ILP by the same person as me.

Ok, a collection update Some ILPs in the first one, they'll get their own set up soon. I'll put most of the ILPs on the MBH shelf together as well, I don't want the MBHs to get too crowded which they definitely are at this point in time. Not many spaces to fill now, especially since I've got some more in the mail. Ridiculously excited to finish it, it went so quickly!

Wow just love your collection! Who is that little shetland type? Is that an ILP?

Thank you Kitbe! Do you mean the black one with the light mane or the brown one? They're either ILP or AH I've got 2 doubles of the black one.

Got Sylvia in the mail today! Only 3 more packages of MBHs, and my next purchase and then I'll have them all save for white Klaus and the black horse! Got some more ILP coming still.
Edit: Kitbe, I reserved a black shetland for you, and great news, I checked the other lot I bought and it looks like it comes with the brown one too! I've got 2 more ILPs in double and triple so I'll have to get you photos to see if you want them.

My collection has grown several fold since all these photos, kind of scary...and even scarier how much money I poured into them. And I am sure if I ever want to sell they'll go for pennies on the damn dollar too. That's how collections are though, you have to go into it realizing that you'll most likely never see what you paid for the things. Seriously not proud of my spending, but they are so addictive for me Really must stop...I have made so much custom tack, so I guess that is why I've gone hog wild on the horses so that I'd have more to make things for.

Well, I'm merely a collector... Seriously, I've collected so many things and still am, it's always scary to see how much you've spend on it. And you know you'll never get it back when you sell it. Or you buy it expensive since you've never seen it before, then suddenly it comes for sale every where.
Also, with the expensive modelhorse stuff (breyers, peter stones, resins for which you already pay over $100 just to get them painted), it's scary knowing that if they get as much as a scratch or break, they'll go down in value by a large deal.

Omg that is really true. And I hadn't really thought about it, but you're right about the Stones and Breyers...with these guys it depends on the models, I feel like even one in poor condition can go for a decent amount if it is rare. But in general the condition doesn't seem as important for MBH. I know I've bought some with frizzy manes myself for too much though, always disappointing when you get them and find out they are in such awful shape, worse than photos. Yours you sent were all perfect lol, silky smooth and like new That is always a great feeling to get them like that!

I spend so many times in the bathroom fixing up horses that looked bad enough. Everything I have is looking as best as they could be, so it went that way for your horses as well. And the ones you send me were ones that didn't need a trip to the bathroom for a change lol
yes, we prefer our horses to be in good condition when we get them, but if they're not they're still fixable. Manes and tails can be fixed to a great deal, rubs can be washed off...So far, I have had very little horses single horse that I was not able to patch up, because they had been painted with very bad paint and type-ex and even those I could still customise and make something cute out of. And even the three legged one has been fixed more or less.
For breyers, stones and the resins, it's a different things. Condition is very important, even more when you're showing them. A scratch can mean the horse can drop from a winner to the end of the line.
